AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 15, OFFENSES-
MISCELLANEOUS. SECTION 15-8 NOISE,
SUBSECTION J BY PROVIDING LEGAL
HOURS FOR NORMAL MAINTENANCE OF GOLF
COURSES INCLUDING MOWING OF GREENS
AND FAIRWAYS AND OTHER RELATED MAIN-
TENANCE ACTIVITIES; PROVIDING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE; PROVIDING' A REPEALCLAUSE;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING
AUTHORITY TO CODIFYAND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL~
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Chapter 15, Offenses-Miscellaneous of
the codified Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Section
15-8 Noise, Subsection J is hereby amended, to read as follows:
Section 15-8 (j) The erection (including excavation),
demolition, alteration or repair of any building, or the operation
of any pile driver, steam shovel, pneumatic hammer, bulldozer,
crane, dragline, tractor, derrick, steam or electric hoist,
road~building equipment, or other equipment, other than between
the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. on any weekday, including
Saturday, provided such weekday is not a legal holiday.
The normal maintenance o'f golf courses including
mowing'of''gre'en's'or' f'air~ays and related m~'~n~t~nance
acti~vitie_ ~ may be %ega'llycondu'ct'ed f'r'om'7':00 A.M. to
7:0.0 P.M. seven (7) days a week.
Section '2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That should any section or provision of this
ordinance or any portion hereof be declared by a court of
competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not
affect the remainder of this ordinance.
~Sec'ti'on 4. This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
Secti'on 5. Authority is hereby granted to codify
the provisions of this ordinance,
