AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA~ AMENDING SECTION 55 OF THE CITY
CHARTER OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
COMPENSATION FOR THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL,
BY PROVIDING THAT THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF
CITY COUNCIL SHALL BE PAID $250.00 PER
MONTH; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE;
PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY TO CODIFY AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Section 55 of the Municipal Charter of
the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, be and it is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Sec. 55. Compensation of Mayor and Council.
Each member of the City Council including the
member who serves as Mayor shall receive a salary
not to exceed Twe-~d~e~-De~-~~O~ Two
Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) per member per month."
Section 2. Authority to Codify: Specific Authority is
hereby granted to codify and mncorporate this Ordinance in the
City's exzsting Code.
Section 3. S_~eparability. Each of the provisions of
this Ordinance are separable~ including word, phrase or sentence~
and if any portion thereof shall be declared invalid, the remain-
ing portion shall not be affected but shall remain in full force
and effect.
Section 4. Repealfnq Provision: Ail ordinances or
parts of ordinances in conflict herewith.are hereby repealed.
Section 5. An Effective Date: This Ordinance shall
become effective in the manner and at the time provided by law.
