AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNToN BEACH, FLORID
THE BUDGET OF T~ ...... A. READOPTING
1980/1981 AS AME~'~- --- ISCAL YEAR OF
DITURE OF ' ~ AND AUTHORIZING THE EXPEN-
MONIES ON SAID BUDGET UNTIL SUCH TIME
AS A TENTATIVE BUDGET FOR THE 1981/1982 FISCAL
YEAR HAS BEEN ADOPTED; FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
PREAMBLE
This ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure
providing for the immediate preservation of public peace, property
health or safety,_ and for the daily operation of the City of
Boynton Beach.
WHEREAS, the
City was not received

WHEREAS, although the City has moved expeditiously to
adopt the tentative and final budgets for the 1981/1982 fiscal
year; and
WHEREAS, Florida Statutes 200.065 as amended in 1980
allows for the readoption of the final budget of the previous
fiscal year where the tentative and final budgets of the up-
coming fiscal year have~not been adopted at the beginning of the
fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the 1981/1982 fiscal year of the City of Boynton
Beach begins on October 1, 1981; and
WHEREAS, the tentative and final budgets of the City of
Boynton Beach for t~e 1981/1982 fiscal year will not be adopted
until after that date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That in accordance with Florida Statutes
200.065 that the budget for the 1980/1981 fiscal year as amended
is hereby adopted as the official budget of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida for the 1981/1982 fiscal year until said time that
a tentative and final budget for said fiscal year have been adOpted
Section 2.. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
expend monies based upon said 1980/1981 budget as amended until
such time as the tentative budget for the 1981/1982 fiscal year
has been adopted ih a proper manner in accordance with the Florida
Statutes.
Section 3. Effective Date: This Ordinance is deemed to
be an emergency measure and shall take effect immediately
