AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
CHAPTER 13 "LICENSES" SECTION 13-22 OF THE
BOYNTON BEACH CITY CODE 1981 CODIFICATION,
"LICENSE TAX SCHEDULE" BY UPDATING THE
OUTDATED SiCHEDULE TO INCLUDE ALL OCCUPA-
TIONS PRESENTLY WITHIN THE CITY; BY
PROVIDING FOR A REPEALING CLAUSE; PRO-
VIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING AUTHORITY
TO CODIFY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the present license tax schedule of the City of
Boynton Beach is ambiguous in certain areas and does not specifi-
cally include many occupations operating within the City; and
WHEREAS, the present license tax schedule calls for many
interpretations; and
WHEREAS, the adoption of a new schedule is not intended
to raise the occupational license tax of any particular occupa-
tion; and
WHEREAS, a new license schedule will be beneficial to
both the applicants and the staff of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS~
Section 1. That Chapter 13 "Licenses" Section 13-2.2 "Licens&
Tax Schedule" of the City Code of Boynton Beach, Florida, 1981
Codification, is hereby amended by repealing the old license tax
schedule and replacing it with a new Section 13-22 to read as
follows:

The chief of police and other officers of the
municipality shall confiscate any and all
machines as herein defined upon which licenses
have not been paid or which are used and
operated in violation of any provision of this
Code, or of the laws of the State of Florida.

ing, leasing, renting, distributing, operating
or placing for operation any machine as
described below:

conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That should any section or provisions of this
Ordinances or any portion hereof, be declared by a Court of com-
petent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect
the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
Section 5. Authority is hereby granted to codify this
Ordinance.
