AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
CHAPTER 13 OF THE PRE-198I CODIFICATION
OF THE CITY CODE (GARBAGE, TRASH AND
WEEDS) BY AMENDING SECTION 13-24 OF THE
PRE-1981 CODIFICATION WHICH HAD PREVIOUSLY
BEEN ENACTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 80-27;
INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO MAKE
ARRANGEMENTS FOR THIS SECTION TO BE
CODIFIED IN THE 1981 RECODIFICATION OF
THE CITY CODE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING ASAVINGS
CLAUSE; AUTHORITY TO CODIFY; AN EFFECTIVE
DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE CITY
SOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Chapter 13 (Garbage, Trash and Weeds) of
:he Pre-1981 Codification of the Code of the City of Boynton Beach,
~ection 13-24 which had been enacted by Ordinance 80-27 is hereby
Lmended to read as follows:
Sec. 13-24. Payment of Assessment; Accumulation
of Interest Upon the Passage of th~
Resolution Provided for in Section
13 -'19.
The assessment of cost under such resolution
shall become effective as a lien against the
property described in such resolution and shall
remain a legal, valid and binding lien against
such property until paid. Such assessment shall
be payable at once upon adoption of the resolution
and shall draw interest from ~t~e-~a~e six months
after the date at the rate of six-<'~) ~
percent per annum until fully paid.
Section 2. The City Clerk is instructed to make arrange-
~ents for this amendment to be placed into the proper section of
!~he 1981 Recodification of the Boynton Beach City Code effective

Section 3. Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in
~onflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Should any section or provision of this
~rdinance or any provision thereof; any paragraph, sentence or word
declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid,
such decision shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective 10
after final passage.
