PROVIDING AUTHORITY TO CODIFY AND FOR
OTHER PIYRPOSES.
N~, ~P~FORE; BE AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT
Section 1. That Chapter 21 (Pensions) of the City Code of t~he
City of Boynton Beach, Florida is hereby amended by adding Section 21-
60.5 which shall read as follows:
Section 21-.60.5. Re, employment of members receiving benefits
The City may at its option employ any person receiving
benefits under this Chapter, except for disability benefits, on a
part-time basis. Said part-time employment shall not exceed 1,600
hours per year. During this period of part-time employment, the employee
shall non be allowed to make contributions to the pension fund nor shall
such period of service count toward credit for the employee's credible
service nor in figur~ the average final compensation of the employee.
Section 2.' That should any part of this Ordinance be declared
by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional, said findings
shall not effect the remainder of the Ordinance.
That authority is hereby granted to codify this
Section 3.
Ordinance.
Section 4.
That this Ordinance shall become effective ten (10)
days after its second reading and final passage.
