lNG THE BUDGET OF THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL
YF~kR OF 1979 - 1980 AS AMENDED AND AUTHORIZ-
ING THE EXPENDITURE OF MONIES ON SAID
B~fDGET UNTIL SUCH TIME AS A TENTATIVE
BUDGET FOR THE 1980 - 1981 FISCAL YEAR
HAS BEEN ADOPTED; FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
AND FOR OTHER PU.RPOSES.
I~E~REAS, the certification of property values within the
City was not received from the property appraiser until August 1,
1980; and
WHEREAS, although the City has moved expeditiously to
adopt the tentative and final budgets for the 1980 - 1981 fisal
year; and
ICHEREAS, Florida Statutes §200.065 as amended in 1980
allows for the readoption of the final budget of the previous
fiscal year where the tentative and final budgets of the upcoming
fiscal year have not been adopted at the beginning .of the fiscal
year; and
~EREAS, the 1980 - 1981 fiscal year of the City of
Boynton Beach begins on October 1, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the tentative and final budgets of the City of
Boynton Beach for the 1980 - 1981 fiscal year will not be adopted
until after that date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That in accordance with Florida Statutes
§200.065 that the budget for the I979 - 1980 fiscal year as amende
is hereby adopted as the official budget of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida for the 1980 - 1981 fiscal year until said time
that.a~-'tentative and final budget for said fiscal year have been
adooted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized
to expend monies based upon said 1'979 1980 budget as amended
until such time as the tentative budget for the 1980 - 1981 fiscal
year has been adopted in a proper manner in accordance with the
Florida Statutes.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall become effective
1980.
immediately upon its passage.
