A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH TO SUBMIT A GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA BUREAU OF
HISTORIC PRESERVATION FOR A CITY-WIDE
HISTORIC SURVEY AND CONFIRMING THE MATCHING
FUNDS AS REQUIRED BY THE GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach possesses many
structures with a great historic/architectural heritage; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach
desires to survey the historical resources located in the
corporate limits of Boynton Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach
finds that it needs financial assistance to conduct the historic
survey;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
~ The City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida does hereby authorize and direct the City Manager
to submit an application for grant assistance to the Florida
Bureau of Historic Preservation for a city-wide historic survey;
and
~ The City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida confirms the matching requirement of $10,000 in
"in-kind" services for the submission of a historic survey grant
to the Bureau of Historic Preservation.
