A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION (D.O.T.) BEAUTIFICATION
GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF APPROXIMATELY
$500,000 FOR THE 1-95/BOYNTON BEACH
BOULEVARD INTERCHANGE; AND ALSO ACCEPTING
THE RESPONSIBILITY OF MAINTAINING ALL OF
THE PLANTED AREAS ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation (D.O.T.)
has selected the 1-95/Boynton Beach Boulevard Interchange to
beautify with flowering trees, shrubs, grass and an irrigation
system; and
WHEREAS, the entire installation cost (approximately
$500,000) will be paid by the D.O.T., the City of Boynton
Beach must agree to maintain all of the planted areas on the
landscape plan, attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
~ The City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, hereby accepts and approves the D.O.T.
Beautification Grant in the araounn of approximately $500,000
for the 1-95/Boynton Beach Boulevard Interchange; and
~ That the City does hereby accept the
responsibility for the maintenance of all the planted areas on
the landscape plan, attached hereto as Exhibit "A"

effective immediately upon passage.
