A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CObSqISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A GRANT OFFER AND
ACCEPTANCE FROM THE SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY
OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, ACTING BY A_ND
THROUGH THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT
OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (RECYCLING
GRANT PROGRAM), IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $44,745.00; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach has
recycling as an environmentally and energy
alternative waste disposal practice; and
supported
conscious
WHEREAS, the residential recycling program for the city
has been very successful and has been expanded to include
Commercial Recycling and Multi-Family recycling; and
WHEREAS, the City has received a grant through the Solid
Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, in an amount not to
exceed $44,745.00; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to utilize the funds for the
purchase of recycled materials to construct a boardwalk at the
proposed downtown Mangrove Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT=
~ The City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida hereby does authorize and direct the Mayor and
City Clerk to execute an Offer and Acceptance from the Solid
Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, Acting through the State
of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (Recycling
Grant Program) for a grant in an amount not to exceed
$44,745.00.

OFFER AND ACCEPTANCE
