4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
5 BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN ADDITIONAL
6 SIXTY DAY EXTENSION OF THE "NOTICE OF
7 INTENT" APPROVED BY RESOLUTION NO. 10-021;
8 AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

10 WHEREAS, the City Commission approved a Notice of Intent (NOI #2010-2) by
II Resolution RlO-021 on February 2,2010; and
12 WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent was to be in effect from the date of adoption and
13 thereafter for a maximum period of 180 days, unless otherwise extended by the City
14 Commission by subsequent Resolution following public hearing; and;
15 WHEREAS, on July 6, 2010, the City Commission approved a sixty (60) day extension
16 of the Notice oflntent and moratorium to September 29,2010; and
17 WHEREAS, staff has recommended the temporary moratorium be extended for an
18 additional sixty (60) days thereby extending the time period from September 29, 2010 to
19 November 28, 2010 to allow additional time for the completion of draft regulations and
20 placement into ordinance format, Board review, preliminary review by the Commission of the
2] proposed regulations, and final adoption of the ordinances.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
')1 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:

24 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
25 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
26 hereof.
27 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida does hereby

I extend the Notice of Intent #2010-2, originally approved by Resolution No. RI0-021, for an
2 additional sixty days, to expire on November 28, 2010.
3 Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
