A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A
GENEROUS GIFT OF STOCK FROM HELEN GLIDDEN
GIVEN BY HER IN SUPPORT OF THE JAMES E.
BUFFAN GOLD COAST COMMUNITY BAND,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO LIQUIDATE
THE STOCK, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, HELEN GLIDDEN, a citizen of the City of Boynton Beach, has
made a generous gift of stock to the City to be liquidated and the proceeds used to
support the James E. Buffan Gold Coast Community Band project sponsored by the
City of Boynton Beach Parks and Recreation Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
~ The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida does
hereby gratefully accept the generous gift of Helen Glidden of fifty (50) shares of
American Cyanamid stock and directs and authorizes the City Manager to liquidate the
stock and to apply the proceeds to the support the James E. Buffan Gold Coast
Community Band.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
