PURPOSE The purpose of this policy is to define the procedure for City departments to obtain uniform issues from the City Warehouse for their employees. This policy shall apply to all
City departments that receive uniform issues from the Warehouse. POLICY The Warehouse will process all uniform orders. Departments will be responsible for issuing the correct number
of uniforms to each employee. The allowable amounts are as follows: New Employment – Each employee is entitle to five of each item (work shirts, work pants, tee shirts). Annual Issue
– Each employee is entitled to five work shirts and five work pants (an employee may choose to substitute two tee shirts for each work shirt). Any department receiving a buttoned shirt
(green) or a jumpsuit must be charged for the City emblem which is attached to these items. All uniform orders not stocked by the warehouse must be processed on the Uniform Order Forms
located on the “Share” drive under City Templates. Stocked uniform order numbers are found in the Warehouse catalog. The employee’s name and ID# must appear on the Uniform Order Form.
(See sample attached) All department uniform orders will be delivered to the Warehouse supply contact personnel or the Department Supervisor. No uniform will be issued directly to the
