3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
4 BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING THE CITY OF
5 BOYNTON BEACH CANVASSING BOARD FOR THE GENERAL
6 ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, MARCH 8, 2011,; AND
7 PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

]0 WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Elections has notified the City of Boynton beach of
] ] the need to adopt an amendment to Resolution No 11-016 designating the City's Canvassing
12 Board for the General Election to be held on the second Tuesday in March, 2011; and
13 WHEREAS, in accordance with the Contract between the City of Boynton beach and
]4 the Supervisor of Elections, the City may include the Supervisor of Elections as a member of
15 its Canvassing Board; however, the City is required to appoint at lease one other member.
]6 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
17 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
18 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
19 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
20 hereof.
21 Section 2. The City shall convene its own Canvassing Board consisting of the
22 Supervisor of Elections, along with the City Clerk and Judith A. Pyle , a
Deputy City Clerk
23 member of the City Commission.
24 Section 7. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
