AN ORDINANCE OF ~{E CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH~
FLORIDA, AMENDING APPENDIX A - ZONING REGU-
LATIONS, SECTION 5 BY ADDING A SECTION 5J
THERETO, PROVIDIN(~ FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE,
REPEALING PROVISIONS, AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida has determined that it is appropriate and necessary to
create a PU, Public Usage District in the Zoning Regulations of
the City of Boynton Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 5 of Appendix A - Zoning Regulations of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is
amended as follows by adding a Section 5J which shall read as
follows:
J. PU (Public Usage District)
These district regulations are intended to apply to
those areas within the City whose ownership and/or operation is
public or whose use is largely publicly or institutionally orientec
exclusive of those areas whose use is primarily recreational~
1. uses Permitted:
Within any PU, Public Usage District, no building,
structure, land or water shall be used except for one or more of
the following uses:
a. Public buildings and facilities such as City
Hall, police and fire stations, l~.braries,
public schools, public utilities and cemeteries
b. Private or semi-private institutions (excluding
churches and schools) such as hospitals,
utilities, and other non-profit facilities;
c. Other governmental agencies such as those pro-
viding postal, administrative or regulatory
services.
2. Building & Site Regulations:
No building or portion thereof shall be erected, constructed
converted, established, altered, enlarged or used unless the pre-
mises and building comply with the following regulations:
Minimum lot frontage
Minimum lot area
Minimum front yard
Minimum side yard
Minimum rear yard
Maximum structure height
75 feet
8000 square feet
25 feet
15 feet, each side*
25 feet*
45 feet, not to exceed four
(4) stories
*When abutting residential districts, side and/or rear yard
be thirty (30) feet.
3. Off-Street Parking:
As provided in Section ll-H hereinafter.

Section 2. That should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion thereof be declared by a Court of com-
petent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect
the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 3. Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon its passage.
