A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE TWO YEAR
EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT WITH DcR
. ENGINEERING, INC., OF LAKELAND, FLORIDA FOR
SCADA AND TELEMETRY SYSTEM GOODS AND
SERVICES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

1 WHEREAS, on June 19, 2007, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach
1 approved the award of a two year Contract to DcR Engineering, Inc., of Lakeland, Florida
1 for RFP#037-2821-07/CJD for SCADA and Telemetry System Goods and Services; and
1 WHEREAS, the RFP allowed for two additional two year contract extensions and
1 on March 3, 2009 the City Commission approved the first extension from June 20, 2009 to
1 June 19,2011; and
1 WHEREAS, the vendor has agreed to the second two-year extension and staff
1 recommends moving forward with this extension for the period June 20, 2011 to June 19,
1 2013; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach upon
21 recommendation of staff, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
:j Boynton Beach to authorize a second two year extension of the contract with DcR
Engineering, Inc., for RFP#037-2821-07/CJD, from June 20, 2011 to June 19, 2013 for
SCADA and Telemetry System goods and services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:

1 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
hereof.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida does
hereby authorize a second two year extension, from June 20, 2011 to June 19, 2013, of the
contract with DcR Engineering, Inc., for RFP#037-2821-07/CJD, for SCADA and Telemetry
System goods and services, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A". I
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.

Dear Mr. Bredbenner:
The existing contract period for the RFP for SCADA and Telemetry System Goods and Services
expires June 19, 2011. Under the provision of the original RFP, the contract can be extended
for two (2) two-year periods.
June 19,2011 is the expiration date for the first extension. We would like to extend the existing
contract for another two-year period under the same terms and conditions, effective June 20,
2011.
Please indicate your response on the following page and return it to Procurement Services at
your earliest convenience. Upon receipt of your response, an Agenda Request Item will be
drafted for Commission review and approval. If the contract extension is approved by the City
Commission, notification will be sent to your attention. If you should have any questions, please
