O79-27AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, FIXING A TAX MILLAGE RATE LESS THAN THE MILLAGE CERTIFIED BY THE TAX ASSESSOR OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND LEVYING TAXES FOR THE USE AND SUPPORT OF THE MUNICIPAL' GOVERNMENT OF SAID MUNICIPALITY BY MAKING LEVY FOR THE GENERAL AND AND ! AND THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, '.~YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1979, AND 30, 1980, AND APPORTIONING EACH LEVY FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE. WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor of Palm Beach County, Florida, has certified to the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, that the millage levy on 1979 taxable value necessary to raise revenue equivalent to 1978 ad valorem proceeds is 5.964 per $1,000.00; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, deems it necessary and essential for the efficient daily operation of the municipal government and for providing proper municipal services for the safety, health and general welfare of the inhabitants of said City that a millage rate reduction under said County Tax Assessor's certified millage be levied. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1: That there is hereby levied and there shall be collected for the use and support of the Municipal government of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and to provide for the and Sinking Fund requirements for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1979, and ending September 30, 1980, upon all property, real, personal, and mixed, within the corporate limits of said City sub~ject to taxation as follows, said tax being so levied and apportioned to the specific purposes herein set forth: DISBURSEMENTS OF AD VALOREM TAX LEVY FOR 1979-1980 ..Requirements: General Fund Mills: 5.885 Publicity & Advertising Fund .066 Total: 5. 951 Interest & qinking Fund .024 Gross Taxable Value: $409,407,617 98% Y ie ld: $2,361,000 $409,407,61Z 26,689 $2,387,680 $409,407,617 $9,650 Page 1 of 2 Pages Section 2: All money collected under this Ordinance for the specific items herein named be and the same are hereby appro- priated and set apart for the specific purposes indicated in each item. All receipts for the City not ~specifically apportioned by this Ordinance are hereby made payable to the General Fund of the City. Section 3: This Ordinance is an ordinance f~xing the tax rate and making a tax levy for the General Expense and Interest and Sinking Fund requirements upon the indebtedness of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1979, and ending September 30, 1980.
