AN ORDINA~NCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOIRqTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ~]]iNG THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF I~)YNTON BEA~4 BY PROVIDING ADDI-
TIONAL RESTRICTIONS ON THE PPJICTICE OF OPF~
BURNING IIq ~ CITY OF .~BOYNTON BEACH.
AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY ~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLO~RIDA, AS FOLI~S:
Section 1: That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach,
is hereby amended to include the follovzing:
a. Open burning is defined as any outdoor fire or open
combustion of material except barbecuing.
b. It shall be unlawful to have any open burning within
the City limits on public or private property, except for fire training
purposes, or recreational or ceremonial occasions for which written permits
frem the fire department are required.
c. No permits will be issued for any open burning on-~ the
public beach.
d. Any person who violates these provisions, and the
owner of the land ~no allows these violations, shall upon conviction be
punished as provided in Section 1-6 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Boynton Beach.
Section 2. Ail Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict here-
with, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That should any section or provision of this Ordinance,
or any portion thereof, be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to
be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of remainder of
said Ordinance.
Section
This Ordinance shall beccme effective immediately upon
its passage.
