R11-100 11 ] RESOLUTION R11- 100 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, 4 FLORIDA ADOPTING A FINAL MILLAGE RATE OF 5 7.1941 MILLS FOR THE CITY'S GENERAL FUND FOR 6 THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2011 AND 7 ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2012; PROVIDING THAT THE 8 FINAL MILLAGE RATE OF 7.1941 MILLS IS 0% ABOVE 9 THE ROLLED-BACK RATE OF 7.1941 MILLS; ]0 PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND ] ] PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. ]2 ]3 WHEREAS, a final budget has been reviewed and considered by the City of ]4 Boynton Beach, Florida, for the ensuing year, with detailed information, including revenues ]5 to be derived from sources other than ad valorem levy, and the administrative staff of the i ; i I I ]6' City has made recommendations as to the amount necessary to be appropriated for the I: ensuing year; and ]7' ]8 WHEREAS, the City Commission has given notice of and conducted the public I I i ]9 hearings required by law and has considered the recommendations of staff and the I 20 ' comments of the public, the suggested budget, and the proposed millage necessary to be i 21 ' levied to carry on the government of the City for the ensuing year; i 22 WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, has followed the procedures as 23 outlined in Florida Statutes Section 200.065; and 24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF 25 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT: 26 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 27 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption 28 hereof. 29 C:\Documents and Settings\prainitoj\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLKE\Final Millage Resolution - Sept 20 20] I (after 2nd read ).doc 1 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida hereby 2 adopts the final millage rate of 7.1941 for the General Fund. The final millage rate is 0% 3 above the computed rolled -back rate of 7.1941. 4 Section 3. If any clause, section, or other part of this Resolution shall be held by 5 any Court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, such unconstitutional or 6 invalid part shall be considered as eliminated and shall in no way affect the validity of the 7 other provisions of this Resolution. 8 Section 4. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby 9 repealed to the extent of such conflict. 10 Section 5.
