A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
ACCEPT AND EXECUTE A PROPOSAL FROM ROSSI
AND MALAVASI ENGINEERS, INC., FOR ENGINEERING
SERVICES FOR MINER ROAD; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida deems
it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City to accept and
execute a proposal from Rossi and Malavasi Engineers, Inc., for engineering services
for Miner Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida hereby
authorizes and directs the Mayor and City Clerk to accept and execute a Proposal from
Rossi and Malavasi Engineers, Inc., for engineering services for Miner Road, which
proposal is attached hereto as exhibit "A".

Dear Mr. Miller:
As requested, following is our proposal for engineering services for the above
referenced project.
SCOPE OF WORK
The work consist of providing the engineering services for the design of Miner Road,
from Lawrence Road east to the present terminus at the entrance of the Chalet IV
development; consisting of approximately 3700 feet. The design will consist of a six
lane divided roadway section on a 110 feet and 108 feet Right of Way width. The
roadway is to be built in two phases, with phase I consisting of the southern three
lanes.

Preparation of complete construction plans. The construction plan
shall include, but not be limited to, roadways, drainage structures
and incidental items. All plans are to be in accordance with the
latest standards adopted by AASHTO and Palm Beach County, and
shall be accurate, legible, complete in design, drawn to scale as
directed by the County Engineer furnished in reproducible form,
and shall be suitable for bidding purposes.
Prepare pavement markings plans.
Prepare preliminary cost estimates based on unit prices furnished
by the County.
Prepare all necessary permit drawings required for submittal to any
such agency from which approval must be obtained. Permit
applications shall be prepared and submitted to County for
transmission to appropriate agencies.
Submit samples of all original plan sheet material (cross section,
plan profile, etc.) for approval by the Palm Beach County
Engineer's office.
REIMBURSABLE ITEMS
1. Soils investigation
This office will prepare the necessary information and employ'the
services of an approved commercial testing firm to obtain sub-soil
data and to perform percolation tests where required. This office
will coordinate and review the work of the testing firm and the City
will reimburse Rossi & Malavasi Engineers, Inc. for all costs
incurred based on a previously approved proposal.

This office will pay for the aerials and reimbursed by the City,to
be prepared at the following scale:

Any permit filing fees required by the Approving Agencies will be payed
directly by the City.
