A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING A
PROPERTY REALLOCATION BE ENACTED,
WITHOUT MONETARY TRANSFER~ BETWEEN
THE UTILITY AND GENERAL FUNDS; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City has previously authorized the Utilities
Department to procure two appraisals on the old sewage treatment
plant property and on certain City-owned property located on
Nickels Road; and
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach is currently the owner of
9.2503 acres of land (the old sewage treatment plant property),
which property is allocated to the Utility Fund, with an average
cost per acre value of $24,042 and wishes to divest itself of all
interest in the property, with the exception of the pumping
station, generator building, and underground piping (.0473 acres)
with 8.777 acres being reallocated to the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach is the owner of 13.17 acres
of land, which property is allocated to the General Fund, with an
average cost per acre value of $50,532, located at Nickels Road;
and
WHEREAS, 8.777 acres of the Rolling Green Ridge parcel at
$24,042/acres is equivalent to 4.176 acres of the West Boynton
property (Nickels Road), which parcel shall be reallocated to the
Utility Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida does hereby authorize and direct the property
reallocation, without any additional monetary transfer, between the
Utility and General Funds.
Section 2.
