3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
4 CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA AMENDING
5 ALL REFERENCES IN THE CITY'S CODE OF
6 ORDINANCES AND ALL OTHER CITY RECORDS TO
7 REFLECT THE NAME CHANGE OF "BOAT CLUB
8 PARK" TO "HARVEY E. OYER, JR. PARK" ,
9 PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY,
10 CODIFICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

12 WHEREAS, at the June 21, 2011 City Commission meeting the City Commission
13 approved renaming Boat Club Park to now be known as "Harvey E. Oyer, Jr. Park"; and
14 WHEREAS, all references in the City's Code of Ordinances and all other City
15 records will need to be changed to reflect that Boat Club Park shall now be know as "Harvey
16 E. Oyer, Jr. Park".
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
18 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
19 Section 1. Each Whereas clause set forth above is true and correct and
20 incorporated herein by this reference.
21 Section 2. All references in the City of Boynton Beach Code of Ordinances and
22 all other City records shall be changed to reflect that Boat Club Park shall now be known as
23 "Harvey E. Oyer, Jr. Park"
24 Section 3. Each and every other provision of the City of Boynton Beach's Code of
25 ordinances not herein specifically amended shall remain in full force and effect as previously
26 enacted.
27 Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the
28 same are hereby repealed.

1 Section 5. Should any section or provision of this ordinance or portion hereof, any
2 paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid,
3 such decision shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance.
4 Section 6. Authority is hereby granted to codify said ordinance.
5 Section 7. This ordinance shall become effective immediately.
