4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
5 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
6 APPROVING THE "PIGGY- BACK" OF A CITY OF
7 POMPANO BEACH BID #H -12 -11 WITH NALCO
8 COMPANY OF NAPERVILLE, ILLINOIS, FOR THE
9 PURCHASE OF ANTI - SCALANT IN THE
1 ESTIMATED ANNUAL EXPENDITURE OF $50,000;
11 AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

1 WHEREAS, City staff has confirmed that the City of Pompano Beach has
114 complied with Public Contract Bid requirements which equal or exceed the City of
115 Boynton Beach's requirements; and
1'03 WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, it is the City's desire to "piggy- back"
17 a City of Pompano Beach Bid #H -12 -11 with NALCO Company of Naperville, Illinois for
10 the purchase of anti - scalant for the West Water Treatment Plant in the estimated annual
ip expenditure of $50,000.
2l NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
211 OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
2't Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
22 as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon
214 adoption.
21 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby
20 approves the "piggy- back" of a City of Pompano Beach Bid #H -12 -11 with NALCO

2 Company of Naperville, Illinois for purchase of anti - scalant for use at the West Water
2!Ei Treatment Plant in the estimated annual expenditure of $50,000, a copy of the Agreement
2;i is attached hereto as Exhibit "A ".

Dear Mr. Pigott,
This letter is to inform that Nalco Company will allow the City of Boynton Beach
to piggy -back on a contract resulting from Bid H -12 -11 for antiscalant with the
City of Pompano Beach. The current contract expires on 3 -7 -12 (at which point
automatic renewal option year goes into effect until 3- 7 -13).
All terms, pricing, conditions and specifications of the original contract will
govern.
