4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
5 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
6 APPROVING THE "PIGGY- BACK" OF A
7 CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FLORIDA BID #2010000286
8 WITH SHANNON CHEMICAL CORPORATION,
9 FOR THE PROVISION OF LIQUID PHOSPHATE AT
10 THE ESTIMATED ANNUAL EXPENDITURE OF
11 $50,000; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

13 WHEREAS, City staff has confirmed that Charlotte County, Florida has complied
14 with Public Contract Bid requirements which equal or exceed the City of Boynton Beach's
15 requirements; and
16 WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, it is the City's desire to "piggy- back"
17 a Charlotte County, Florida Bid #2010000286 with Shannon Chemical Corporation with
18 the same terms, conditions, specifications and pricing for the provision of liquid phosphate
19 for an estimated annual expenditure of $50,000.
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
21 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
2 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
23 as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon
24 adoption.
25 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby
2(i approves the "piggy- back" of a Charlotte County, Florida Bid #2010000286 with Shannon
21 Chemical Corporation with the same terms, conditions, specifications and pricing for the

2$I provision of liquid phosphate for an estimated annual expenditure of $50,000.
29 Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.

Dear Mr, Flynn:
The above contract with your firm, for Corrosion Inhibitor only. expires September 30, 2011. The County is
Interested in extending this Contract an additional one year under the same prices, terms and conditions of the
current Contract up to and including September 30, 2012.
This letter does not ensure that a renewal for this contract will be approved, as a contract may be extended by
mutual agreement only. If the County agrees to extend said contract, you wl be notified in writing of the County's
intention to do so, and also be required to countersign that official notification in order to make the renewal final.
Please respond at your earliest possible convenience by signing and returning this letter by fax or mail, so that l
