R12-016I RESOLUTION NO. R12 -016 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, 4 FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO 5 EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED IN FAVOR OF THE 6 BOYNTON BEACH COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT 7 AGENCY FOR THE ENTRYWAY TO THE MARINA; 8 AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 9 10 WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach owns a small triangular parcel of land at the 11 entryway to the Marina which the City acquired from FDOT when the Ocean Avenue bridge 12 ' was reconstructed; and 13 WHEREAS, the CRA is amenable to accepting ownership and thereafter 14 maintenance of the property; and 15 WHEREAS, FDOT was consulted and they have no objection to the transfer; and 16 WHEREAS, following transfer, all maintenance responsibilities will transfer from 17 the City to the CRA. 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF 19 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 20 Section 1. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are true and correct and 21 1 hereby ratified and confirmed by the City Commission. 22 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach hereby authorizes 23 the Mayor to execute a Quit Claim Deed transferring ownership to the property described in 24 the Quit Claim Deed attached hereto as Exhibit "A" to the Boynton Beach Community 25 Redevelopment Agency. 26 Section 3.
