It reauires a 15 or 20 amD breaker 31 on a 120 -volt Alternating Current (AC) circuit and standard outlet. Allowable Location(s). EV charging stations shall be allowed 40 in all zoning districts, but only in connection with a lawful principal use. 41= In addition, the following restrictions shall apply: 42 43 a. In residential zoning districts. All EV charging stations shall be located within a � conforming parking space or upon an on -site area that is specifically designed and designated for EV charging. The provision for an EV charging station may vary based on 14 the design and use of the primary parking lot. however in all 15; instances, the proposed location must ensure the safe and efficient 16 flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. EV charging stations, 1 including_ its associated eauipment and n_ ower cords, shall not 18 " traverse sidewalks, accessible routes, or other pedestrian areas. 19� Likewise. the placement of each EV charging station shall not 20 conflict with landscaping to the extent that the purpose and intent 21 of the landscape code is no longer met. 22 23 d. No EV charging station shall be installed within a 24 designated handicap space unless it is sp_ ecifically designed and 25 intended for handicap use only; - 26 27 i' e. Level 3 EV charging stations shall be prohibited in all 28 residential zoning_ districts or in connection with anv_ residential 29 use, and 30 31 f. A vendor may be allowed to install EV infrastructure on 32 public lands or rights- of -wav, but only contingent upon the granting 33 !I of all necessary approvals and/or agreements with the City 34 Commission and all applicable agencies. - - 35 36 3. Safetv. Information on the EV charging station must identify 46 voltage and amperage levels and time of use, fees. or safety information.
