PUBLIC AUDIENCE
Ys. Lucille Mace~ appeared before the Ce~ncil~and advised
that she was representing her mother, Mms. Sharney, who re-
sides at 3825 Old Dixie Highway amd stated she has ~esn try-
ing to have the water connected and w~uld like t~ know why
it is more expensive to put water in on the north side of the
street than on ~he south side and Mr. Kohl replied that he
did not know a~ything about this and would have aa answer
tomorrow. Ms. Maeey asked if he wemld like some facts and
Mr, Kehl suggested that she come to see him t~merrew and he
would definitely get an answer. Ms. Macey agreed.
Mr. Harold Le~is, 2385 S. W. Congress Bl~d., appeared before
the Gouncil and told about the traffic situation being danger-
out at the intersection ef 15th Avenue and S. ~. 18~h Street.

N~. Kohl i~formed ~the Council that bids en the above were
opened on Tuesday, August 9, 1977, at 3:00 P, M. in the
Office of our Purchasing Agent, N~. William H. Sullivsm.
The Tabulation Committee recommends acceptance of the low
Bid from De-Vos Coastructiom Company of Lake Worth, Florida,
in the amount of $30,65~,00. A copy of the Tabulation Sheet
and Proposal siEned by Mr.. Dou~tas j. DelVes, President of
De-Mos Construction ComDa~ are em file. He has checke~ all
other requirements and everything is in order. Fm~s for the
ah0ye projec% will ~e available aport the adoption of the 1977-
1~78 ~get in ~e Police Dep~rtment (Capital Outlay) A¢co~t
Ne. 001 ~60-99. He concurs with the recommendations of the
Tabulation Committee.
Nayor Zack re~ueste~ the City Manager to inform the City
~eu~ci!whatthis building will include and Mr. Eohl ex-
plalned that it was just the shell of the building with
concrete block walls, roof, space for air conditioners, and
concrete floor. Mayor Zack asked if the painting womld,.~.be
done by Ci%y crews and Mr. Kohl replied that he had not aske~
the City Council about that ~ecause it will cost money.
Mrs. Jackson moved to grant the bid to De-Vos Construction
Company for a concrete block ~uilding for the ~istol range
in the amount of $30,659.00. Mr. DeMarco seconded the mo-
tio~. No discussion. Motion carrie~ 5-0. ~. Kohl added
that they estimated $30,000 for this job.

cities fighting this, seconded by Mr. Caldwelt. Under dis-
cussion, Mayor Back explained that this was in ref~erence te
double taxation and payimg the Sheriff's Department to patrol
the City an~ the Oity Police doing this. Mr. De~rco asked
if amything had develepe~ yet an~ ~s. Jackson replie~ that
she thought they were waiting to see how many cities Join.

Mr. DeMarco stated that in regards to the Leisureville storage
buildimg, he would like to have more open discussion. Mrs.
