4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
5 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
6 APPROVING THE PIGGY -BACK OF A CITY OF
7 CAPE CORAL BID #ITB- UT12 -32 /CH WITH
8 SHRIEVE CHEMICAL COMPANY FOR THE
9 PROVISION OF SULFURIC ACID FOR AN
10 ESTIMATED ANNUAL EXPENDITURE OF
11 ' $165,000.00; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
12 ' DATE.

14 WHEREAS, City staff has confirmed that the City of Cape Coral has complied
15 with Public Contract Bid requirements which equal or exceed the City of Boynton Beach's
16 requirements; and
17 WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, it is the City's desire to piggy -back a
18 City of Cape Coral Bid #ITB- UT12 -32 /CH with Shrieve Chemical Company for the
19 provision of sulfuric acid in an estimated annual expenditure of $165,000.00.
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
21 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
22 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
23 as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon
24 adoption.
25 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby
26 approves the piggy -back of a City of Cape Coral Bid #ITB- UT12 -32 /CH with Shrieve
27 Chemical Company for the provision of Sulfuric Acid in an estimated annual expenditure
28 of $165,000.
29 Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.

Effective September 9, 2012, Shrieve Chemical agrees to allow the City of Boynton Beach to
piggyback the City of Cape Coral contract #ITB- UT12 -32 /CH for sulfuric acid at $119.15 per ton with a
$14.72 per ton surcharge based on additional freight charges.
