4 ( A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
5 CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVE THE
6 PURCHASE OF NEW AND REPLACEMENT VEHICLES
7 UTILIZING THE STATE OF FLORIDA CONTRACT #01-
8 071 - 000 -C, STATE OF FLORIDA CONTRACT #760 -000-
9 10 -1, CITY OF VENICE, FLORIDA ITB #2954 -12 -2013,
10 FLORIDA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION CONTRACT #12-
11 10 -0905, FLORIDA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION
12 CONTRACT #11 -10 -1202 AND FLORIDA SHERIFFS
13 ASSOCIATION CONTRACT #12 -20 -0905 AS APPROVED
14 IN THE FISCAL YEAR 2012/13 BUDGET IN THE
15 ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $3,189,297; PROVIDING AN
16 EFFECTIVE DATE.

18 WHEREAS, the Fleet Administrator recommends the annual purchase of fifty
19 replacement vehicles for City departments as approved in the fiscal Year 2012/13 budget;
20 and
21 WHEREAS, the replacement vehicles are being purchased according to a life
22 cycle allowing maximum vehicle efficiency that minimizes annual maintenance; and
23 WHEREAS, all agencies and the Florida Sheriffs Association have complied with
24 public contract bid requirements equal to or which exceeds Boynton Beach's
25 requirements.
26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
27 OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
28 Section 1. Each Whereas clause set forth above is true and correct and
29 incorporated herein by this reference.
30 Section 2. The City Commission of the City Of Boynton Beach, Florida,
31 hereby approves the purchase of new and replacement vehicles utilizing the State of

1 Florida Contract #01- 071 - 000 -C, State of Florida Contract #760 - 000 -10 -1, City of Venice,
2 Florida ITB #2954 -12 -2013, Florida Sheriffs Association Contract #12 -10 -0905, Florida
3 Sheriffs Association Contract #11 -10 -1202 and Florida Sheriffs Association Contract #12-
4 20 -0905 as approved in the fiscal year 2012/13 budget in the estimated amount of
5 $3,189,297.
6 Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.
7 PASSED AND ADOPTED this /5 day of January, 2013.
