4 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
5 CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING A
6 MEMBER TO THE BOYNTON BEACH COMMUNITY
7 REDEVELOPMENT BOARD FOR THE TWO YEAR
8 TERM, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

11 WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach has determined that it is in the best interests of
12 the citizens and residents of the City to appoint two additional members to the Board of
13 Commissioners of the Community Redevelopment Agency; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Commission selected two (2) individuals for appointment to the
15 Community Redevelopment Agency Board with staggered terms of appointment of 2 years and
16 4 years; and
17 WHEREAS, James Buchanan was appointed to the 2 year term and his appointment
18 will expire on February 28, 2013; and
19 WHEREAS, Florida Statute § 163.356 requires appointment and designation of terms
20 of office to be by ordinance.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
22 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
23 Section 1. That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clause is true and correct and hereby
24 ratified and confirmed by the City Commission.
25 Section 2. The following individual is hereby appointed to service on the Board of the
26 Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency for the term of office indicated next to their
27 name:

2 Section 3. This Ordinance shall be effective immediately after adoption.
3 FIRST READING this 5 day of February, 2013.
