16 WHEREAS, ther- have been concerns raised by residents about the volume of truck
17 ! traffic on Old Dixie Highwa from Federal Highway to Gulfstream Boulevard in the City of
18 Boynton Beach; and
19 WHEREAS, the Florida D,e artment of Transportation requires the local government
20 to authorize all restrictions on ate roar ways, such as Old Dixie Highway (State Road 811),
21 ( via adoption of a Resolutio , and
22 WHEREAS, th City Commission o he City of Boynton Beach desires to authorize
23 the restriction of t k traffic on Old Dixie Hit way from Federal Highway to Gulfstream
24 Boulevard, in e City of Boynton Beach; req. ests that the Florida Department of
25 Transportati s post signs on southbound and northb and Federal Highway that provide
26 motorists .dvance notice of truck restrictions on Old Dixi- Highway, and acknowledges that
27 all sit • s shall be installed in conformance with Florida Depart , ent of Transportation.
28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ITY COMMISSION OF
29 HE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
30 Section 1. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are tru and correct and
3 hereby ratified and confirmed by the City Commission.

1 Section 2. That the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach authorizes the
2 - striction of truck traffic on Old Dixie Highway (State Road 811) from Federgr Highway to
3 Gul ream Boulevard, in the City of Boynton Beach; requests that the Flo ida Department of
4 Transpo ition post signs on southbound and northbound Federa)llighway that provide
5 motorists adv. ce notice of truck restrictions on Old Dixie Hig)rway, and acknowledges that
6 all signs shall b: installed in conformance with Florid Department of Transportation
7 Standards.
8 Section 3. Tha' his Resolution will become effective immediately upon passage.
