R13-082 ii 1 RESOLUTION NO. R13 -082 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF 4 BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, RECOMMENDING 5 PROJECT FINISH BE APPROVED AS A QUALIFIED 6 TARGET INDUSTRY BUSINESS PURSUANT TO 7 S.288.106, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR 8 LOCAL FINANCIAL SUPPORT IN THE FORM OF CASH; 9 PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 10 ` 11 WHEREAS, the business under consideration is a manufacturing business, specifically, 12 Project Finish; and 13 14 WHEREAS, Project Finish has been identified as a Target Industry Business; and 15 16 WHEREAS, Project Finish desires to relocate their company to Quantum Park within 17 the municipal boundaries of the City of Boynton Beach; and 18 19 WHEREAS, The City of Boynton Beach hereby acknowledges that local financial 20 support of 20% of the total tax refund of $21,000 is required under the provisions of s.288.106, 21 Florida Statutes, governing the State's Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund Program; and 22 23 WHEREAS, The City of Boynton Beach has committed to provide $21,000 which is 24 100% of the required QTI local financial support. 25 26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF 27 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH FLORIDA, THAT: 28 29 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 30 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption 31 hereof. 32 33 Section 2. The City Commission hereby recommends Project Finish be approved as a 34 Qualified Target Industry Business pursuant to s.288.106, Florida Statutes. 35 36 Section 3. The City Commission of the City Of Boynton Beach has determined the 37 basis of this project's average private sector wage commitment calculation shall be 115% of the 38 State of Florida average annual wage. 39 40 Section 4. The necessary cash commitment of local financial support for the 41 Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund Program exists for Project Finish in the amount of 42 $21,000; that this amount will be made available in accordance with the guidelines set forth by 43 the Department of Economic Opportunity with the stipulation that these funds are intended to 44 represent the "local financial support" required by s.288. 106, Florida Statutes. \ \apps3 city cbb\ auto\ Data\ 183\ Items \175\2537\ 3353\ Reso _- _Approve_QTI_Project_Fmish doc 11 1 2 Section 5.
