R13-104 1 1, RESOLUTION R13- lo / 2'i 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE 4 CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING 5 THE CURRENT ADOPTED BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL 6 YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2012, AND ENDING 7 SEPTEMBER 30, 2013; PROVIDING FOR 8 SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS, AND AN EFFECTIVE 9 DATE. 10 11 WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted a budget submitted by the City Manager 12 based on estimated revenues of the City of Boynton Beach for fiscal year 2012 -2013; and 13 WHEREAS, the City Manager has now adjusted estimated revenues for fiscal year 14 2012 -2013, and 15 WHEREAS, the City Manager has made recommendations to amend the budget by 16 adjusting the amounts necessary to be appropriated for fiscal year 2012 -2013. 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF 18 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: 19 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 20 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption 21 hereof. 22 Section 2. The City Commission of the Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby amends 23 the currently adopted budget, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A ", and the 24 appropriations set out therein for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2012 and ending 25 September 30, 2013, to maintain and carry on the government of the City of Boynton 26 Beach, Florida. 27 Section 3. There is hereby an increase of the appropriation by $821,743 to an 28 amended appropriated sum of $69,643,267 to the General Fund for the payment of 29 operating expenditures, transfers to other funds, and necessary capital outlays for the City 30 Government pursuant to the terms of the above budget. I 1 Section 4. There is hereby an increase of the appropriation by $51,014 to an 21 amended appropriated sum of $166,111 to the Public Arts Fund for the payment of 3 operating expenditures and necessary capital outlays. 4 Section 5. There is hereby an increase of the appropriation by $3,000 to an 5 amended appropriated sum of $8,990,265 to the Public Service Tax Debt Service Fund for 6 the payment of operating expenditures, transfers to other funds, and the principal and 7 interest due on the public service tax bonds of the City subject to statutory exemptions and 8 for redeeming such bonds as they mature. 9 Section 6. There is hereby an increase of the appropriation by $178,230 to an 10 amended appropriated sum of $1,952,230 to the General Capital Improvement Capital 11 Projects Fund for the payment of operating expenditures and necessary capital outlays. 12 Section 7. There is hereby an increase of the appropriation by $338,300 to an 13 amended appropriated sum of $338,300 to the Fire Assessment Special Revenue Fund for 14 the payment of operating expenditures, transfers to other funds, and necessary capital 15 outlays. 16 Section 8. There is hereby an increase of the appropriation by $960,750 to an 17 amended appropriated sum of $37,719,085 to the Water and Sewer Utility Fund for 18 operating expenditures, transfers to other funds, and necessary capital outlay and debt 19 service due on the Water and Sewer Revenue Bonds. 20 Section 9. There is hereby an increase of the appropriation by $414,710 to an 21 amended appropriated sum of $11,772,771 to the Solid Waste Fund for the payment of 22 operating expenditures, transfers to other funds, and necessary capital outlays. 23 ! Section 10. There is hereby an increase of the appropriation by $710,000 to an 24 amended appropriated sum of $6,734,971 to the Fleet Maintenance Fund for the payment of 25 operating expenditures, transfers to other funds, and necessary capital outlays. 26 Section 11. There is hereby an increase of the appropriation by $985,000 to an 27 amended appropriated sum of $3,506,329 to the Self - Insurance Fund for the payment of 28 operating expenditures, transfers to other funds, and necessary capital outlays. 29 Section 12. If any clause, section or other part of this Resolution shall be held by 30 any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, such unconstitutional 1 or invalid part shall be considered as eliminated and shall in no way affect the validity of the 21 remaining portions of this Resolution. 3 1 j Section 13. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby 41 repealed to the extent of such conflict. 5 1 1 Section 14.
