4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
5 BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PIGGY -
6 BACKING OF A THREE YEAR AGREEMENT (NO. 13 -249)
7 BETWEEN THE SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY OF PALM BEACH
8 COUNTY AND PHILLIPS AND JORDAN, INC., FOR
9 HURRICANE/DISASTER DEBRIS REMOVAL, REDUCTION AND
10 DISPOSAL; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

12 WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Authority approved an Agreement (No. 13 -249) with
13 Phillips and Jordan, Inc., to provide for Hurricane /Disaster Debris Removal, Reduction and
14 Disposal for a period of three (3) years from August 21, 2013 to August 20, 2016, with an
15 ' option to extend until August 20, 2020; and
16 WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, the City Commission has determined
17 that it is in the best interests of the residents of the City to approve the piggy- backing of a
18 three (3) year Agreement (No. 13 -249) of the Solid Waste Authority's Agreement with
19 Phillips and Jordan, Inc., for Hurricane /Disaster Debris Removal, Reduction and Disposal.
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
21 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
22 Section 1. Each Whereas clause set forth above is true and correct and
23 incorporated herein by this reference.
24 Section 2. The City Commission hereby approves the piggy- backing of a three
25 (3) year Agreement (No. 13 -249) of the Solid Waste Authority's Agreement with Phillips
26 and Jordan, Inc., for Hurricane /Disaster Debris Removal, Reduction and Disposal.
27 Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.
28 PASSED AND ADOPTED this / 5 of October, 2013.
