4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
5 BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PIGGY -
6 BACKING OF THE CITY OF POMPANO BEACH BID #H -50 -13
7 WITH YAMAHA GOLF CART COMPANY AND AUTHORIZE
8 THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE FINANCING
9 DOCUMENTS FOR 48 MONTH FINANCING FOR A NET
10 PURCHASE PRICE OF $298,325.00; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
11 DATE.

13 WHEREAS, staff at the Links Golf Course completed a review of existing
14 equipment and has determined that most of the current golf carts range from 8 -10 years
15 old with severe maintenance issues and break downs on the course daily; and

16 WHEREAS, in order to bring the Golf Course back up to its award winning
17 condition and run a top quality Golf Course it would be appropriate to replace all carts and
18 finance them over a four (4) year period; and
19 WHEREAS, the City of Pompano Beach has complied with public competitive
20 bid requirements that equal or which exceed Boynton Beach's bid requirements.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
22 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
23 Section 1. Each Whereas clause set forth above is true and correct and
24 incorporated herein by this reference.
25 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,
26 hereby approves the piggy- backing of the City of Pompano Beach Bid #H -50 -13 with
27 Yamaha Golf Cart Company for the purchase of eighty -five (85) 2014 Yamaha Electric
28 Golf Carts and four (4) Electric Ranger Cars for the net purchase price of $298,325.00.
29 Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to execute the financing documents

1 for 48 month financing with a $1.00 per cart buyout at the end of the term.
2 Section 4. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.
3 PASSED AND ADOPTED this f day of October, 2013.
