3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
4 BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL
5 AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND
6 THE PALM BEACH COUNTY SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS FOR
7 VOTE PROCESSING EQUIPMENT USE AND ELECTION
8 SERVICES BETWEEN THE PARTIES; AUTHORIZING THE
9 MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT;
10 AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

13 WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach has designated Tuesday, March 11, 2014, as
14 the date for the next General Election, and if it becomes necessary, a run -off election which
15 will be held on March 25, 2014; and
16 WHEREAS, since 2009, the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections has
17 required municipalities enter into an Interlocal Agreement listing the services her office
18 would provide along with their associated costs; and
19 WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Elections and the City wish to enter into this
20 Agreement to set out the terms of this coordinated program; and
21 WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, upon the
22 recommendation of staff, approves the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Boynton
23 Beach and the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections for vote processing equipment use
24 and election services for the March 2014 elections.
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
26 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
27 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
28 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
29 hereof.

1 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach hereby approves
2 the Agreement between the City of Boynton Beach and the Palm Beach County Supervisor of
3 Elections for vote processing equipment use and election services for the March 2014
4 elections and authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said Agreement, a copy of
5 which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
6 Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
7 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3 day of December, 2013.
