A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
A CONSULTANT AGREEMENT FORM FOR
AUTOMATED DESIGN MAPPING SERVICES
BETWEEN THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH
AND AERIAL DATA REDUCTION
ASSOCIATES, INC.; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on May 18, 1993, the City entered into an agreement
with Aerial Data Reduction Associates, Inc., (ADR) to obtain aerial
mapping for the portion of the City located east of 1-95, from the
northern City Limits southward to Woolbright Road (referred to as
Phase I), which is now substantially completed; and
WHEREAS, the City has since passed a stormwater ordinance,
which sets forth a monthly fee for residential and commercial uses,
the commercial fee being based upon the amount of impervious area
(building, roadways, parking and sidewalks) for each site; and
WHEREAS, much of the City's industrial/commercial area lies
west of 1-95, the aerial mapping area can be expanded westward to
Congress Avenue, (~eferred to as Phase 2) to capture the necessary
data and assist in establishing a database for the stormwater
billing system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1. The City Co~mission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida does hereby authorize and direct the Mayor and City
Clerk to execute the Consultant Agreement Form for Automated Design
Mapping Services, attached hereto as Exhibit "A".

CONSULTANT ~GREEMENT FORM
Automated Design Mapping
SERVICES
THIS AGREEMENT is entered into between the City of Boynton Beach,
hereinafter referred to as "the City", and Aerial Data Reduction Assoc.

a. Payment for the work provided by Consultant shall be made as
provided on Exhibit "B" attached hereto, provided that the
total amount of payment to Consultant Shall not exceed
$-~39,133.00- without express written modification of the
agreement signed by the City.
b. The consultant may submit vouchers to the City once per
month d~ring the progress of the work f~r partial a ent
for project completed to date. Such vouch~ wiltPbeym
checked by the City, and upon approval thereof, payment will
be made to the Consultant in the amount approved.
Final payment of any balance due the Consultant of the total
contract price earned will be made promptly upon its
ascertainmen~ and verification by the City after the
completio~ of the work under this agreement and its
acceptance by the City.
Payment as provided in this section~shall be full
compensation for work performed, services rendered and for
all materials, supplies, equipment and incidentals necessary
to complete the work.
The Consultant's records and accounts pertaining to this
agreement are to be kept available for inspection by

Inteqrated Aqreement. This Agreement, together with

We are pleased to submit this proposal for continuation of the "Automated Design Base Maps"
project in accordance with our recent communication and under our currently active Agreement,
dated May 18, 1993.
This proposal is also based on the principle of cost sharing with the Palm Beach County Property
Appraiser, which approach already realized considerable benefits for both participating entities.
The project areas of mutual interest are as follows:
Beginning at SW and SE 15th Avenue 0Noolbright Rd.) toward the south between Rt I-9~,
and Intercoastal Water Way towards the Southern City limits, totaling--+ 1287 acres in
Township 45S/Range 43E in Sections 32, 33 and 34, furthermore, in Township 46S/Ran~re

the east towards the southern City limits in Township 45S/Range 43E in Sections 8, 9,

In the following we descn"oed the additional work required by the City of Boynton
Beach Utilities Department for design and other purposes in the total combined
project area of + 5178 (fiVe thousand one hundred seventy eight) acres.
In a simultaneous operation with the work for the Property Appraiser's office,
along with the above listed 'basic" ten geographic details we will also stereo
digitize from the aerial photography the below listed visible features which has
been ground marked by the City of Boynton Beach and visible on the
photography~

Horizontal accuracy will be + 0.5 (six inches) of all stereo digitized features to be
plotted with analytic stereo plotters in the entire project area.
After completing the stereo digitizing, ADR will prepare a set of hard copy outputs on
translucent paper in model format, and send it to the City for the purpose of a field edit
by the City. After the City completed the field edit at the City's request, ADR will review
the edit results and will submit a cost estimate for additional services by merging the
field edit details into the original data base and will deliver the AutoCAD files for a
review, prior to preparing the final version.
