A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING THE
BID FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES TO BLC
LAWN MAINTENANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $48,167.50;
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH AND BLC LAWN MAINTENANCE, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on October 20 1993, bids were opened for the annual
contract for landscape maintenance, Bid No. 068-722-93/CJD; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach,
upon recommendation of staff, has deemed it to be in the best
interests of the citizens and residents of the City to award a
multi-award to both TARE LANDSCAPING, and BLC LAWN MAINTENANCE as
the lowest responsible bidders;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, hereby awards the bid to BLC LAWN MAINTENANCE, as
the lowest responsible bidder, and authorizes and directs the Mayor
and City Clerk to execute a Contract between the City of Boynton
Beach and BLC LAWN MAINTENANCE, which Contract is attached hereto
as Exhibit "A".
Section 2.

SERVICE CONTRACT
This agreement dated day of

by and between the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, PALM BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, hereinafter called the Owner, and BLCLAWNMAINTENANCE (a
corporation organized and existing under the taws of the State
of FLORIDA) and hereinafter called the Contractor.

consideration stated herein, agree as
ARTICLE I: SCOPE OF WORK
The Contractor shall perform all

the approval of the Owner or its authorized representative.
However, the Contractor shall retain his identity as an independent
contractor and shall not be considered an agent of the Owner.
ARTICLE II: COBTKACT PRICE
The Owner shall pay the Contractor as lust compensation for
the ANNUAL CO~-£~ACT FOR LANDSCAPE MAI~T~ANCE as provided in the
Specification Documents for the following unit prices per location.
