AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, Ai~ENDtNG CHAPTER 25B OF THE CODIFIED
ORDINANCEs OF SAID dITY PERTAINING TO SWIMMING
POOL REGULATIONS; PROVIDING FOR SAVINGS CLAUSE,
REPEALING PROVISION, AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR
OTHERPURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY T~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
section i: That Section 25B-10 of the Codified Or-
dinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida be and the same is
hereby amended to read:
"25B-10. Structural design.
The swimming pool structure shall be designed by an
engineer registered in the State of Florida and
shall be designed to withstand the expected forces
to which it will be subjected. Lifeline anchors
shall be provided at the ~ransition point in
swimming pools. Vinyl pools and other flexible
material swimming pools, any portion of which is
more than four feet above normal finish grade
shall be prohibited."
Section 2: That the following shall be added to Chapte]
25 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florid
"Section 25B-41. Installation.
Ail circulating pools, heated pools, wading pools,
and/or any other pools installed within the City
of Boynton Beach for human use, shall be installed
mn accordance with Chapter 25B of the City of
Boynton Beach Code of Ordinances.
Section 3: Separability: Each of the provisions of
this ordinance is separable, including word, clause, phrase or
sentence, and if any portion thereof shall be declared invalid,
the remaining portion shall not be affected but shall remain in
full force and effect.
Section 4: Repealing Provision: Ail ordinances or
parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5: An Effective Date: This ordinance shall
become effective in the manner and at the time provided by law.
