R14-086 i1 1 RESOLUTION R14 -086 2 3 ; A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, 4 I FLORIDA ADOPTING A FINAL MILLAGE RATE OF 5 7.9000 MILLS FOR THE CITY'S GENERAL FUND FOR 6 THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2014 AND 7 ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2015; PROVIDING THAT THE 8 FINAL MILLAGE RATE OF 7.9000 MILLS IS 5.81% 9 ABOVE THE ROLLED -BACK RATE OF 7.4664 MILLS; 10 PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND 11 i PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 12 4 13. WHEREAS, a final budget has been reviewed and considered by the City of 14 Boynton Beach, Florida, for the ensuing year, with detailed information, including revenues 1 15 ' ! to be derived from sources other than ad valorem levy, and the administrative staff of the 16, City has made recommendations as to the amount necessary to be appropriated for the { 17 ensuing year; and 18' WHEREAS, the City Commission has given notice of and conducted the public 191 hearings required by law and has considered the recommendations of staff and the 20 comments of the public, the suggested budget, and the proposed millage necessary to be 21 levied to carry on the government of the City for the ensuing year; ( 22 WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, has followed the procedures as 23 outlined in Florida Statutes Section 200.065; and 241 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF 25 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT: 26 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 27 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption 28 hereof. 29 1 i I I 1 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida hereby 2 ; adopts the final millage rate of 7.9000 for the General Fund. The final millage rate is I j 3 5.81 % above the computed rolled -back rate of 7.4664. 4 I Section 3. If any clause, section, or other part of this Resolution shall be held by 51 any Court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, such unconstitutional or 6 invalid part shall be considered as eliminated and shall in no way affect the validity of the I 71' other provisions of this Resolution. 81 Section 4. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby ) 9 1 1 repealed to the extent of such conflict. 101 ; Section 5.
