AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
REPEALING SECTION 26.OF THE CODIFTEDCHARTER OF

PROVISION, AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the provisions of Section 166.041 of the Florida
Statutes establish~ a ~ uniform method for enactment of ordinanc
and resoluti~ns~by Florida municipalities rendering Section 26 of
the codified charter of said City obsolete.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTO~ BEACH, FLORIDA:
Se_orion 1: That the provisions of Section 26 of the codifie¢
sharter of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, being otherwise
described as Section 33, Chapter 24398 Special Acts of Florida,
1947, which reads as follows:
"Sec. 26. Passage of ordinances and resolutions; Recordatio
Publication.
Every ordinance and resolution shall upon its final
passage be recorded in a book kept for that purpose and
shall be authenticated by the signatures of the presiding
officer and the Clerk of the City Council. Every ordi-
nance of a general or permanent nature shall be published
by caption only, once within ten days after its passage
in a newspaper published in the City of Boynton Beach,
and in the event no newspaper is published within the
City of Boynton Beach b~ posting in three public places."

Section 2: Authority to Codify. Specific a~thority is hereb~
granted to codify and incorporate this ordinance in the City's
existing code.
Section 3: Separability: Each of the provisions of this
ordinance is separable, including word, clause, phrase or sentence
and if any portion thereof shall be declared invalid, the remainin~
portion shall not be affected but shall remain in full force and ~
effect.
Section 4: Repealing Provision: Ail ordinances or parts of
ordinances mn conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5: An Effective Date: This ordinance shall become
effective in the manner and at the time provided by law.
