Boynton Beach has a long history of fruitful cooperation with the Treasure Coast Regional
Planning Council on a variety of planning activities and initiatives. One of the first projects in
which the City partnered with the TCRPC was the 1994 Downtown Charette. Over the years, the
TCRPC provided the City with valuable assistance on:
• Development • Comprehensive Plan policies
• Conservation and preservation policies and regulations
• Development and maintenance of Development of Regional Impact (DRIs)
• Economic evaluation of redevelopment proposals within the CRA, including urban form,
economic contribution and returns to the City & CRA
• Design workshop and recommendations for redevelopment of City block in heart o?
downtown (the Town Square Plan update)
• Development • regional greenways/trails master plan
