I am a teacher at Freedom Shores Elementary School, which is a Title 1 school, and this is my third year teaching in the Dual Language program. I am currently teaching first grade and loving every minute of it. However, in order to be able to continue teaching and to transition from my Temporary Teaching Certificate to my Professional Teaching Certificate, I need to meet the requirements for it before June 30 2015. Some of these requirements are four classes at an accredited university. I have contacted the University of Phoenix because they offer these classes at an accelerated pace, further facilitating me to meet my deadline. I can take two classes at a time and be on my way to my professional certification. The cost of each class with a 10% discount offered to alumni is $547.50 and that includes the cost of tuition and materials. The four classes will total $2,190. EDD547 — Classroom Management for Educators EDD563 — Overview of Adolescent Psychology s' EDD554 — Assessment and Evaluation for Educators SPED500 — Introduction to Learners with Special Needs ' I am reaching out for help in achieving my dream to continue teaching. I am dedicated, and,for the past two years I have been rated as exemplary because I put my heart and soul into what I do. I know I can positively impact the life of the children-1 encounter, but in order to continue to do that I need to be able to pay for the classes required for the certification. I thank you in advance for any help you can provide me in reaching my goal of becoming a Professional Certified Teacher. Respectfully, Gloria Maldonado
