Mayor Summers called the special meeting co order at 4:10 P. M..to
sider the awarding of bids on Area 12C~ Water $ Sewer Expansion and
Force Main No. S~ Sewage Works project.

Harold Hopkins and John Klinck reviewed for Council the area to be served
by Force Main 5, m.e., north of Boynton Canal~ east of ~. S. ~1. The
Seacrest Villa development is vo be served by subject force main.
Mr. Klinck read a letter dated July 16, quotirgthe bid figures and recom-
mending acceptance o£ the low bid of Onontario Cor~.
Mr. Michael moved to award the bid on Force Main No. 5 to Onontario Corp.
mn the amount of S16~282.75 with the proviso that before the contract is
let for work that the City receive from th~ developer in the area a cash
bond (or equivalent) in the amount of the estimated cost of the lift
station as estimated by Russell & Axon. Motion seconded by Mrs. Jackson
and motion carried 4-0.
AREA 122
Mr. Klinck submitted a letter ~rom Russell L Axon showing the Base Bid
and additive alternate ~igures on the water and sewage systems expansion
Area 12C~ and recommended that the entire project be included in the
award to Derrieo Construction Co. based on low bid.
After much discussion Mrs. Jackson made a motion no award the Base Bid
to Der~ico Construction Co. in the amount of $$5~833.20. Motion seconded
by Mm. Nylund and carried 4-0.
It was agreed for Mr. Klinck ~o get a formula to the City Manager in
order that a figure could be ~etermined for participation by Reeves and
Paddosk.
Mr. Michael mo:ved that the additive alternate portion of the Ares 12C
bid be considered at the Council meetin~ Monday~ July 20th; also the
minutes of this special meeting. Motion seconded by Mrs. Jackson ano
carried 4-0.

RROP~SED SEWER PLAN~ WEST OF rAZY LAKE IN GOLFVIEW HARBOUR
Harold Hopkins recommended altering the proposed sewer plan wesv of
Lazy Lake in Golfview Harbous. It was requested that ~ definite
proposal be brought To Council Monday evening.
APPROVAL OF BILL
The City Manager presented a bill for approval for payment from Derrico
Construction Corp. in the amount of $21~225.51. Mr. Michael moved that
subject bill be approved fom p~ymenu. Mormon seconded by Mrs. Jackson
and carried 4-0.
ADJOURNMENT
