Courtney~ City Temeesa Padgett~ City Clerk Absent: Gene Moore ~ City Atty~ Mayor Gallo called the special meeting to o~der at 10 A.M. Ordinance No. 69-26 - Setting the Millage In the absence of the City Attorney~ }~. Courtney read Ordinance 69-26 by title only settir~ the millage for the 1969 Tax Roll. ~. Ny!und moved that O~dinance 69-26 be adopted on 3rd and final reading. ~Jotion seconded by. Mr. Collins and carried 4-1. Bid Opening - Garl~.ge and trash pickup }.Jr. Michael moved that receiving of bids be closed. ~otion seconded by Pi~. Summers and carried 5-0. ~4r. Courtney placed on file with the City Clerk the estf3nate the Cit:~ had placed on the cost of containerized garbage & trash pickup using the train system. Bids from the following firms were opened. 1. R & S Enterprise 2. Waste Control of Fla.Inc. 3. County Sanitation~ Inc. Bid Bond Cashier's Check $!0~000~ Cashier's Check ~zm. Michael moved that subject bids be referred to a tabulating committSe for study~ and to bring recommendation to the council as soon as possi- ble. Motion seconded by ~. Summers at %.~hich time he mequested to serve on the tabulating co~ittee. Motion ca,tied 5-0. Mayor Gallo appointed ~. Summers~ Mr. Collins~ l~. Courtney, ~r. Hopkins and Mr. Allan to serve as a tabulating committee. Consider appointment of Court Prosecutor. ~r. Nylund moved to appoint David Me]~ay as City Prosecutor effective October 1st. Motion seconded by ~;~. Stunmers and carried 5~0. Consider request for Easements, F.O.P., Rifle Range. Mr. Court-ney explained the need of requested easements to place anchors for guy wires. ~. Summers moved that the requested easements be granted. ~iotion seconded by ~. Michael and carried 5-0. -!- MIhrdTES SPEC/2~L COUNCIL ~ETING SEPTEMBER 26, 1969 Qonsider request of Boynton Beach JayCees for use of Park. The Boynton Beach JayCees requested approval to hold a turkey shoot October llth & 12th at the JayCee Park. ~. },~ichael moved that'the request be granted subject to the approval of the City Attorney. Motion seconded by Mr. Nylund and carried 5-0. Resolution No. 69-DD~ amending the classification plan, Mm. Courtney read Resolution No. 69-DD amending the classification and pay plan of the City. He requested that the classification of Deputy City Clerk and Tax Collector be added. Hotion made by Mr. Summers: seconded by Mr. Michael, carried 5-0 to adopt Resolution No. 69-DD as amended. f:ir. Coumtney asked that Shop Supervisor classification be changed to ~aste~ ~.lechanic. 1~. Michael moved this change be approved. ~otion seconded by ~4r. Summers and carried 5-0. The City Manager recommended that the pay grade of Deputy City Clerk and Tax Collector be 22. ~tion made by Mr. Michael that this change be approved. ~otion seconded by k~. Nylund and carried 5-0. Discuss speaker system. Mr. hichael brought To the attention of the Council a proposal made by Executone several months ago to place lavalier microphones in the Council Chambers and guarantee them to work. Discussion followed and the Council members agreed to have Executone do the work if they ~;~uld assure us the system ~uld be satisfactory when completed. ReQuested change in beverage licenses - To%~ Tavern, Inc. g Alfredo~s The clerk requested approval of change in corporation members of Totem Tavern: Inc., and change in o~.mership of beverage license at Alfredo~s. Mr. Nylund moved to approve the change in beverage license at the sub- ject locations subject To approval of the State Beverage Department. Motion seconded by Mr, Summers and carried 5-0.
