O76-37 ORDINANCE NO. 76-37 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 2-4 .~ OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY, ESTABLISHING A REVISED MUNI- CIPAL PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT ORGANIZATIONAL CHART; PROVIDING FURTHER FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE, REPEALING PROVISIONS, AUTHORITY TO CODIFY, AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, deems it !ssential and in keeping with basic management principles that a professional or- ganizational chart providing for the highest degree of efficiency with regard to utili- zation of municipal personnel and equipment, delegation of authority, span of con- trol, homogeneous assignment, lateral coordination and the grouping of related functions be established and adopted for the efficient accomplishment of all municipal functions; and WHEREAS, ~he City Council of said City has heretofore established and adopted personnel and equipment organizational chart for said City; and WHEREAS, the City -Manager has prepared and furnished to the City Council revised table of organization which meets the above criteria; and WHEREAS, the adoption of the subject organizational chart is deemed essential order To provide for the efficient dally operation of the municipal government; NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1: That pursuant to the Charter and the Ordinances of the City of Boyn~on Beach, Florida, the organizational chart attached hereto and made a part hereof is hereby established and adopted as the personnel and equipment organiza- tional chart for the City of Boyn~on Beach, Florida. Section 2: Aut$ority to Codify: Specific authority is hereby granted to codi~ ~y and incorporate this Ordinance in the City's existing Code. Section 3: Separability: Each of the provisions of this Ordinance is separable including word, clause, phrase or sentence, and if any portion thereof shall be de- clared invalid o the remaining portion shall not be affected but shall remain in full orce and effect. Section 4: l{epealing Provision: Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
