BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON'BEACH, FLORIDA:
Sectior~ 1: That Sec. 84 of Article V of.lhe Municipal Charter of the
City of Boynton Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"Sec. 84. Determination of necessary revenue; certification
of levy.
The City Council sha[L~ no later than the third Tuesday of Sep?
tember of each year, determine the amount of money which
shah be'needed for ail purposes in the operation of the city for
the current year, and shall levy a tax upon ail rea[ and person-
a[ property, railroads, telephone and teIegraph lines, within
the said City of Boynton Beach, sufficient to produce the amount
needed, and the taxes so levied shall be certified by the Clerk
of the said Council to the Tax Assessor and Co[lector of Palm
Beach County immediately after the holding of said meeting.
Section 2: Authority to Codify: Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the City's existing Code.
Section 3: Separability: Each o£ lhe provisions of this Ordinance ~s
~eparab[e, including word, clause, phrase or sentence, and if any portion
thereof shah be declared invalid, the remaining portion shall not be affected
but shall remain in fuji force and effect.
Section 4: Repealing Provision: Ail ordinances or parts of ordinance
~n conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5: An Effective Date: This Ordinance shah become effective
in the manner and at the time provided by [aw.
