O76-28 ORDiNANCE NO. 76-28 A~N ORDINANCE OF THE CITY, OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SEC. 2~4.7 (1) OF ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO CHANGE THE OFFICE OF CITY PLANNER FROM AN UNCLASSIFIED TO A CLASSIFIED POSITION; PRO'v~IDING FOR AUTHORITY TO CODIFY; PROVIDiNG FURTHER FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE, REPEALING PROVISIONS, AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND: FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACB, FLORIDA: Section 1: That Sec. 2-4.7 (1) of Article I of Chapzer 2 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, which presently reads as follow "(1) Position created. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23 of the Charter of the City of Boynton Beach~ Florida, there is hereby created the unclassified position of city planner, said position to be filled by appointment by the city council, said officer zo serve at the pleasure of the city council." be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows: "(1) Position created. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23 of the Charter of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, there is hereby created the classified position of city planner, said post- %ion to be filled by appointment by the city manageg said officer to serve at the pleasure of the city m_anager~" Section 2: Authority to Codify: Specific authority is hereby granted to codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the City's existing Code. Section 3: Separability: Each of the provisions of this Ordinance is separable, including word, clause, phrase or sentence, and if any portion thereof shall be declared invalid, the remaining portion shall not he affected but shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4: Repealing Provision: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 5: An Effective Date: This Ordinance shall become effective in the manner and at the time provided by law. First reading this ~ day of July, A.D. 1976. A.D. 1976.
