3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
4 APPROVING A THREE YEAR ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT WITH
5 MICROSOFT CORPORATION FOR SOFTWARE LICENSING
6 THROUGH SOFTWARE HOUSE INTERNATIONAL IN THE
7 ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $158,225.25; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
8 MANAGER TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT; AND PROVIDING AN
9 EFFECTIVE DATE.

12 WHEREAS, in December 2012 the City Commission approved a three year
13 Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA) to provide certain software and licensing which
14 Agreement expires December 31, 2015; and
15 WHEREAS, the ITS Department is recommending renewal of the Microsoft EA with

16 a new three year term which will allow ITS Department to upgrade to the latest software
17 versions as they are released; and
18 WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, upon the
19 recommendation of staff, deems it in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City
20 of Boynton Beach to approve a three year Agreement between Microsoft Corporation and the
21 City of Boynton Beach for software licensing through Software House International in the
22 annual amount of $158,225.25.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
24 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
25 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
26 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
27 hereof.
28 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach hereby approves
29 the three year Agreement between the City of Boynton Beach and Microsoft Corporation for

30 software licensing through Software House International (sole source supplier for Microsoft
31 Software under State Contract number 252- 001 -09 -1) in the annual amount of $158,225.25
32 and authorizes the City Manager to sign the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement, a copy of which
33 is attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
34 Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
35 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15 day of December, 2015.
