AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SEC . 21-25 OF CHAPTER 21 OF THE CODIFIED
ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO REDEFINE THE TERM "ANNUITY"
SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR ANNUAL PAYMENTS ON THE FLRST
DAY OF THE MONTH IN WHICIl TIlE SAME ACCRUES; PROVIDING
FOR AUTIIORITY TO CODIFY, SAVINGS CLAUSE, REPEALING
PROVISIONS, AN EFFECTIVE DATE AbID FOR OTIIE!% PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH
FLORIDA:
Section 1: Sec.21-25 of Chapter 21 of the Coddfied Ordinances of the City
of Boynton Beach, Ft~Zrida, which presently defines the term "Annuity" as follows:
"Annuity. Annual payments for life to he paid in equal monthly
installments on the last day of the month in which the same accrue.
Such payments shall be made on a calendar month basis and the
payment for any month may be prorated if appropriate."
be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Annuity. Annual payments for life to be paid in equal monthly
installments on the first day of the month in which the same accrue.
Such payments shall be made on a calendar month basis and the
payment for any month may be prorated if appropriate."
Section 2: Authority to Codify: Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the City's existing Code.
Section 3: ~eparability Each of the provisions of this Ordinance is
separable, including word, clause, phrase or sentence, and if any portion thereof
shall be declared invalid, the remaining portion shall not be affected but shall
remain in full force and effect.
Section 4: Repealing Provision: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5: An Effective Date: This Ordinance shallbecome effective in the
manner and at the time provided by law.
